The extraordinary clarinetist Ismail Luminovski is a musical force of passion and dynamic virtuosity. Already of international distinction, Luminovski has been called a “brilliant, fearless young clarinetist” by the New York Times. Blending the fiery spirit of folk music with the discipline of classical music, he has launched a major career as a soloist in both classical and Balkan styles as his performances throughout the world have received critical acclaim.
Combine the fluid grace of the Bowen McCauley Dance Company, hailed by the Washington Post as “Metro DC’s premiere contemporary dance company,” with the kinetic energy of composer Erberk Eryilmaz’s music and you get an unforgettable evening of sights and sounds.
Pre-Performance Discussion at 7 pm: Join conductor Christopher Zimmerman and special guests.
