The 46th International Saxophone Symposium, hosted by the U.S. Navy Band, features over 150 performances, masterclasses, and lectures designed for musicians of all ages. The event is open to the public and no tickets are required.
First hosted in 1978, the International Saxophone Symposium features world-renowned saxophonists while highlighting the prominence of the saxophone in both classical and jazz literature.
The U.S. Navy Concert Band will perform a concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9 with featured soloists Makoto Hondo, Steven Banks, and Musician 1st Class Harrison Clarke. The U.S. Navy Band Commodores will perform a concert on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 8 p.m. with special guest Walter Smith III.
