The George Mason University Chorale invites you to journey through the evolution of American musical theater in Legends and Legacies, a spellbinding celebration of Broadway's most iconic voices — past, present, and revolutionary.

This showcase traces a harmonic journey across the Broadway timeline: from the golden age standards that built the American songbook, through the doo-wop harmonies and rags-to-riches storytelling of Jersey Boys, into the vibrant, community-driven rhythms of In the Heights, and culminating in the rousing, underdog spirit of Newsies. Audiences will experience how each generation of composers and lyricists has reshaped the stage — while tracing the common thread of ambition, identity, and belonging that runs through them all. Join us for a sing along at the end of each performance.
