Performed over Zoom, “The Last Days of Judas Iscariot” is available for streaming May 4 – 10. Content warning: some language may not be appropriate for children. A note from the director, Tyler Shores:

“‘The Last Days of Judas Iscariot,’ written by Stephen Adly Guirgus, takes place in a courtroom in ‘downtown’ Purgatory and focuses on the fictional trial of one of the most infamous characters in biblical history: Judas Iscariot. The trial examines if Judas should suffer eternal damnation for turning Jesus Christ in to Roman authorities, thus resulting in the prophet’s crucifixion. Numerous historical and biblical figures are called to testify, including Mother Teresa, Sigmund Freud, and more. The play debates ethics, morality, and truth, which are topics that are contested today. I believe this story expresses the need for mercy and forgiveness in a world that is quick to strike people who make mistakes.”
