Join College of Visual and Performing Arts alumna, Jada Salter (Bachelor of Arts, 2020), for a premiere screening of her full-length documentary film, “Just The Two of Us”.

Experience the captivating documentary that dives into the extraordinary life of William "Bill" Salter, the renowned songwriter, composer, and musician, who has earned multiple Grammy awards. Through the lens of Jada Salter, Bill Salter's eldest granddaughter, embark on a heartfelt journey as she captures the essence of her grandfather's influential legacy. Uncover the tales behind his timeless creations, including the iconic "Where is the Love" performed by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, the soulful melody of "Mister Magic" played by Grover Washington, and his groundbreaking masterpiece "Just The Two of Us" sung by Bill Withers, among many others. Prepare to be inspired by the remarkable story of Bill Salter and his unforgettable contributions to the world of music.

This premiere event showcases Jada Salter’s creativity and skill as a filmmaker, funded in part by Salter’s win of the 2022 Young Alumni Commissioning Project Award from Mason’s College of Visual and Performing Arts Young Alumni Commissioning Project.
