The Sleeping Beauty
The whole family will enjoy this lavish production of the charming fairy tale The Sleeping Beauty performed in grand Russian style by the Russian National Ballet. With choreography by ballet master Marius Petipa set to Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous score, this crowning jewel of classical ballet tells the tale of beautiful impossibilities. At Princess Aurora’s christening, the evil fairy Carabosse places a vengeful curse on the baby: on her 16th birthday, she will prick her finger and die. But the kind Lilac Fairy is able to alter the original curse, so instead the princess will sleep for 100 years until awakened by the kiss from a prince. Under the direction of legendary Elena Radchenko, the company brings this timeless classic to life with graceful dancing, exquisite costumes and elaborate sets.
