Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season
Peter Wilson, conductor
The American Festival Pops Orchestra (AFPO) continues its annual tradition of spreading musical goodwill and cheer in this audience favorite! Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season returns under the baton of Artistic Director and Maestro Peter Wilson, a “brilliant artist” (Washington Post). Enjoy a festive evening of family-friendly repertoire and seasonal favorites, plus special guest artists. The AFPO comprises more than 60 professional musicians and includes faculty from George Mason University’s Dewberry School of Music, instrumentalists from music ensembles of the U.S. Armed Forces, and area orchestras. This merry occasion wouldn’t be complete without an audience sing-along to make spirits bright!
